Carrie London Lee Mullins

Carrie London Lee Mullins was born on October 17, 1928, to Milton Hibbert Hamilton and Lillie Florence Mullins Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved husband, William (Bill) Clarence Mullins. She is survived by her two daughters, Judy and Diana; her grandchildren, Vance, Jason, and Kristy; her great-grandchildren, Amber, Logan, Reagan, Ashton, Jackson, Elijah, Sawyer London, and Lily; and her great-great-grandchildren, Colton and Dawsyn. Carrie will be remembered for the countless little things that made her uniquely herself. She loved sitting on her porch, watching her hummingbirds, and keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood from her front window. She faithfully followed the weather and the evening news, always wanting to know what was happening in the world. She loved recipes and cooking shows, though she never seemed to need one herself. With an instinctive Appalachian gift for cooking, she created unforgettable meals without measuring a single ingredient. She believed no restaurant could ever compare to home cooking—and, truthfully, she was probably right. During every meal, she lovingly made sure everyone enjoyed it, always asking, "Was it good?" Carrie had a quiet strength and a gentle spirit. She never raised her voice and disliked arguments or unnecessary fussing, yet one glance from her beautiful blue eyes could say more than words ever could. She loved deeply and unconditionally, treasured the comfort of her home, had a lifelong dislike of snakes, and cherished the simple joys of everyday life. At the end of every phone call, she would always say, "Thank you for calling me." Those simple words reflected the gratitude, kindness, and love she carried throughout her life. Funeral services for Carrie will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Mullins Funeral Home. The family is honored to have Pastor Matthew Clark officiate the service in celebration of Carrie's life. A private family viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by visitation at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Christopher Basham for the wonderful care he provided Carrie over many years. They also extend their sincere appreciation to Nick Sluss, PA, for always going above and beyond in her care. A special thank you is also extended to Patricia Carty and Caris Healthcare for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided during Carrie's final days.
