Columbus Harrison “C.H.” Kelly went to be with his Heavenly Father on August 20, 2026, in Wytheville, Virginia, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on August 6, 1943, in Clintwood, Virginia, to the late Wayne and Flossie (Mullins) Kelley. He built a life rooted in his love for Christ, his family, honesty, and hard work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and outdoors. He owned Kelly’s Body Shop in Pound, Virginia, for many years. He was a strong, dedicated Baptist Christian. C.H. will be remembered for his steady heart and the safety and strength his family felt in his presence. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave so freely. His legacy of kindness and devotion will continue in the lives of all who loved him. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Princess Lee Kelly and Audrey Kelly Mullins; brother, Larry Wayne Kelley; nephews, Jason Wayne Kelley and Jonah Paul Kelley; and great-granddaughter, Willow Faye Aker. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Peggy (Mullins) Kelly; his daughters, April Kelly of Wytheville, Virginia, and Melissa (Robert) Aker of Wytheville, Virginia; his son, Anthony Kelly, and girlfriend, Ashley Lehman, of Coeburn, Virginia; his sisters: Scarlett Kelly Evans of Coeburn, Virginia; Virginia Kelly of Coeburn, Virginia; and Mary Rose (Kelly) Masters of Wise, Virginia; his brothers: Gordon Lee Kelly of Coeburn, Virginia; Leon (Kathy) Kelly of Pound, Virginia; and Ricky (Theresa) Kelly of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; his grandchildren: Cassandra Codey (Halle) Aker of Wytheville, Virginia; Ronnie Wynn of Wytheville, Virginia; Cassidy Aker of Wytheville, Virginia; Devin (Morgan) Aker of Wytheville, Virginia; Logan (Karissa) of Wise, Virginia; Jayda Aker and fiancé, Brian, of Wytheville, Virginia; Riley Kelly and Kayden Kelly of Coeburn, Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; and close friend Brian Baker and family of Duffield, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local charity of the donor’s choice. Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM, with funeral services to follow at 1:00 PM. Clergymen will include Troy Belcher and Randy Carter. A graveside service will take place that same day at the Kelley Family Cemetery (Mill Creek) in Pound, Virginia. Pallbearers will include Ronnie Wynn, Codey Aker, Devin Aker, Logan Kelly, Brian Baker, David Lane, and Henry Mullins.
