Ruby H. Boggs

Ruby Hayes Boggs was born July 18, 1932 to her loving parents, Ruben and Nannie Smith Hayes. Ruby was a loving wife of 68 years to Delbert Boggs. She raised three daughters who were her world, Kathy, Karen, and Kim. She was very involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always did everything with love and pride. Everything she touched turned to beauty. She was the very definition of a lady. If she knew you she loved you. Sunday June 14, 2020 God held her heart til its last beat and cradled her soul with her last exhale hugging her into Heaven to be with her husband who was waiting patiently for his bride to join him. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Nannie Hayes; her sisters, Beatrice Belcher, Pauline Yates, and Pearl Stout; her brothers, Charlie Hayes and Jimmy Hayes; her grandson, Jonathan Fleming; and her husband, Delbert Ray Boggs. Leaving behind: Her three daughters: Kathy Stanley (Phillip), Karen Bates (Benny), and Kimberly Boggs (Mark Wagner) Six grandchildren: Michael (Jeanette) Stanley, Sonya Ward (Nathan), Bradley Fleming, Todd Fleming (Debbie), Brooke (Brad) Watson, Leah (Rodney) Kilgore Thirteen great grandchildren: Rachel Stanley, Beth Stanley, Miana Abshire, Elijah Fleming, Haddon Fleming, Lily and Mason Fleming, Braxton Williams, Bailey Kilgore, Kenadi Kilgore, Addisyn Kilgore, Elyssa Ward, and Zachary Ward Two Brothers: John Hayes of Rural Retreat, Virginia and Eugene Hayes(Gail) of Clintwood, Virginia Several nieces and nephews she loved and adored More friends than I can count Family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel of Love, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020 where a graveside service will be conducted. Gary Stanley will officiate. Burial will follow. Yates Chapel Church will have a Celebration of Life dinner in Ruby’s memory following the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Brad Fleming, Todd Fleming, Michael Stanley, Brad Watson, Mark Wagner, Zachary Ward, and Braxton Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Stanley, Benny Bates, Elijah Fleming, Haddon Fleming, John Hayes, Eugene Hayes, and Carroll Ray Baker. We were all touched so lovingly by our mother and she will forever be missed. Leaving behind such wonderful memories. This will only make us strive harder to see her and our daddy someday.
