Delmon Stanley

January 3, 1943 - December 8, 2021

Delmon Stanley, age 78, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was a member of Philadelphia Chapel and he loved to sing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Sue Stanley; his sons, Donald and Ronald Stanley; his mother, Stella Faye Stanley; his father, Milton Stanley; his two granddaughters, Amanda Kay Smith and Melissa Sue Mullins; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors Include: Daughters: Charlotte Gay Williams and husband, Michael Williams and Sharon Kay Scheider and fiancé, David Blaine Dotson Sisters: Martha Ray, Emma Lee Smith, and Hazel Several close grandchildren: Christopher Dale Mullins, April Rachelle Hickman, Melissa Shalee O’Quinn, Ashley Black, and Jonathan Carter Several loving great grandchildren One great great grandson The family will receive friends Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral procession will leave a 12:00 noon to go to the Stanley Family Cemetery, Nealy Ridge Section, Clinchco, Virginia for a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. Lester Mullins will officiate. Masks are required. Burial will follow. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be David Dotson. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Stanley Family.
