Helen Sue Mullins

March 21, 1948 - September 11, 2021

Helen Sue Mullins, age 73, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Norton Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of Honey Camp Freewill Baptist Church. She was retired from Red Onion State Prison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Rita Belle Mullins; and her children, Danielle Nicole Hay, Elyshea Shawn Mullins, and Roy Junior Mullins. Survivors Include: Husband: Roy Mullins Son: Chad Mullins and his wife Rhonda, who she thought of as a daughter One Sister: Jean Mould of Abingdon, Virginia Two Brothers: Frank Mullins of Coeburn, Virginia and Hank Mullins, also of Coeburn, Virginia Grandchildren: Kirsti Mullins, Tyler Mullins, Christian Mullins, Michael Marcum, Zachary Marcum, William Smith Jr., and Chad Lee Mullins Jr. A host of great grandchildren Many nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel at 6:30 p.m. with a song service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Edgle Rose and Larry Mullins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mullins-Slemp Cemetery, Tempest Branch Section, Coeburn, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Marcum, Chad Mullins Jr., Terry Mullins, Doug Fleming, Summy Patterson, and Bo Patterson. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Mullins Family.
