Kenneth Wayne Atwell

Kenneth Wayne Atwell, age 57, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Norton Community Hospital. He was born in Pikeville, Kentucky and was of the Christian faith. He was a proud 1980 graduate of Clintwood High School and attended Emory and Henry College. He earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Boston. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Snoda and Alvin Bowman. Survivors Include: Mother: Lois Bowman Cousins: Nicole Williams, Erica Renfro, Harvey Williams, Sr., Harvey Williams, Jr., and Vickie Williams and husband, Harvey Williams Aunt: Mavis Prestrel The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Mullins Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home with Clergyman Mark Huffine officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Mullins, Susan Hamilton, John Hamilton, Beth Hamilton Fleming, and Teresa Fleming. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leslie Alden Cooley, Tim O’Roouke, and Eric Bell. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Atwell Family.
