Launa Senter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Launa Branham Senter, age 95, passed away on July 12, 2022 at National Health Care, Bristol, Va. She was born January 3, 1927 in Dickenson County (Skeetrock) Virginia to the late Cleve and Velva Stone Branham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manas Charles Senter, her baby Sister, Lola and brothers: Otto, Lacy, Ernest and Quinton Branham. Survivors include: Son: Robert (Theresa) Senter of Haysi, Virginia and Daughter: Connie (John) Fuller of Inman, SC. Grandson: Brandon (Sulee) Senter of Haysi, Va. Great-grandchildren: Cody and Kalee Senter of Haysi, Va. Sisters: Minnie Leu Riddle of Kingsport, TN., Margaret Fern Emery of Caro, MI. Sister-in-Law: Janis Senter of Clintwood, Va. And a host of nieces and nephews. Launa was a faithful member of Pound Fork Primitive Baptist Church for 75 + years and attended for as long as her physical health allowed. She worked as a cook and manager at the Clintwood Elementary/ High School Cafeteria for 15+ years, in which she enjoyed all the children and helping to feed many throughout the years. Mom was known in the community for her genuine interest and love to cook, bake, garden, quilting and lawn work. The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Elder Noah Kim Edwards and Elder Roger Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood, Va. Pallbearers will be Brandon Senter, Cody Senter, Marty Senter and other family and friends. Launa (Mom) will be missed by many and thought of often, as precious memories of years gone-by gently cross our Minds and Hearts of today and future years.
