March 1, 1937 - January 6, 2022
Maggie Eileen Coleman was age 84 when she went peacefully with the Lord to her new home in Heaven in the morning hours of Thursday, January 6, 2022. Maggie was born March 1, 1937, a day she later cherished deeply as God gifted her a granddaughter on her 61st birthday. She was born in Haysi, Virginia to parents Judy and Charlie Bruce Edwards, she was one of 13 children. In 1973, she married Lon Edward Coleman of Kentucky. Lon and Maggie were each other’s first relationship when they were teenagers, and even after deciding to go their own way as adults, they found their way back to each other in the 70s and rekindled their love. Anyone who knows them always considered them true soulmates. Maggie spent nearly 49 beautiful years with the love of her life, who showed her true love and respect every step of the way. She was very proud to be his wife, and he was, and will always be, proud to be her husband. Maggie was a beautiful, strong, hard-working woman who loved her family dearly. She put her family first, always showing us unconditional love and teaching us many things- from life skills to life lessons. She was so proud of her family; her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. There are too many precious memories to even begin to talk about without writing a novel. The memories she helped create and the moments we spent with her will live on in all of those she touched with her beautiful heart and contagious laugh. We will all miss her dearly.
