Mitchell Lee Leftwich

Mitchell Lee “Mitch” Leftwich, age 49, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. Mitch enjoyed hunting with friends, traveling, being outdoors, attending Sunday services at Middle Branch Freewill Baptist Church, and spending time with his family. Mitch was always the first to suggest a weekend trip to go zip lining and adventuring. He ensured his family would have many fun memories with him. Mitch was preceded in death by his father, James Mitchell Leftwich; sister, Sandra Chaffin; and brothers, Carter and Elvis Leftwich. He will be leaving behind: A Wife of twenty years: Denise Leftwich Three Children: Zachary Leftwich; Brittany Austin and husband, Christopher; and Katyln Salyer and husband, Bryan Mother: Velma Leftwich Siblings: Carlo Leftwich and husband, Wyatt; Billy Leftwich and wife, Terri; and Regina Perrigan Mitch was such a proud grandfather “Pop Pop” and will be leaving behind his most favorite people on Earth, his grandchildren: Logan Austin, and Ellie and Archer Salyer. Also surviving is Denny Long, who was like a brother to him, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many amazing friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date after the family has time to grieve their loss. Family and friends will be contacted with arrangements.
