Teresa Darlene Slemp

June 19, 1962 - December 12, 2020

Teresa Darlene Slemp, age 58, of Clintwood won her battle with cancer and on Saturday, December 12, 2020 went home to her heavenly Father. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was a member of Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church. Teresa was an amazing wonderful woman. She was kind, caring, loving, stong-minded, and strong-willed. She never gave up fighting until the end. She was a daughter, sister, and aunt. But mainly, a wonderful mother who cherished her children with all her heart. And lastly, a great grandmother of eleven grandkids. She said her grandkids was the apple of her eye. Teresa was born June 19, 1962 to the late Richard and Bertie Turner Rose. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Shirley Slemp, Judy Arnold, and Ruth Mullins; and one brother, Larry Rose. Survivors Include: Two Sons: Jackie (Sarah) Slemp of Haysi, Virginia and Tony Slemp(Amanda Whitt) of Clintwood, Virginia One Daughter: Tina (Lanice) Clay of Haysi, Virginia Three Brothers: Wayne (Debbie) Rose of Missouri and Scotty (Renee) Rose of Tennessee and Bobby Harold (Treasa) Rose of Clintwood, Virginia Two Sisters: Diane Rose of Clintwood, Virginia and Linda Martin (James “Butter”Talley) of Dryden, Virginia Eleven Grandchildren: Shelby Slemp, Hunter Slemp, Nina Slemp, Kyle Slemp, Justin Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Isaac Edwards, Ethan Slemp, Lilly Slemp, Kason Slemp, and Karter Slemp Several nieces and nephews A very special friend and companion: Franklin Mullins of Clintwood, Virginia The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Rick Collins will officiate. A special thank you to MSA hospice for their care and support. Her memory will go on forever. She was deeply loved by many and will truly deeply be missed by all who knew her.
