Reca Nadine Mullins

Reca Nadine Mullins, 80, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Clintwood, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 14, 1945, Reca was the beloved daughter of the late Curtis and Ruby Williams. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Donald Mullins; her sister Evelyn Neeley; brothers Kenneth Williams and Ernie Williams; brothers-in-law Morris Mullins, Sheldon Mullins, Kenneth Mullins, and David Winiger; and sister-in-law Mina Williams. Reca is survived by her children: Donna (Larry) Fleming of Clintwood, Gary (Mary) Mullins of Gate City, and Michael (Hannah) Mullins of Duffield. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amanda Hodges, Airica Dotson, Nick Dotson, Jacob Mullins, Greg Fleming, Nathaniel Fleming, Tabitha Wallace, Ruthie Mullins, and Kaylee Mullins. Her joy only deepened with the arrival of her twelve great-grandchildren: Kinley Dotson, Karmen Combs, Trinity Hodges, Landon Hodges, Bella Fleming, Grayson Fleming, Michayla Wallace, Brayden Wallace, Christian Wallace, Ariana Wallace, Kylo Dotson, and Gatlin Dotson. She is also survived by her siblings Della Winiger, Deanna Long, and Chester Williams; sisters-in-law Scyrethia Mullins, Landall (Phil) Yates, Reta (Robert) Taylor, Robin (Kevin) Yates, and Julie Williams; brothers-in-law Ellis (Sandy) Mullins, Ronnie Greene, and Teddy Greene; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. Reca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for her family was boundless—she was a fierce protector and constant source of support and encouragement. No one ever visited her home without being welcomed with a warm smile and a home-cooked meal. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, and deep faith. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with clergy, Glenn Slemp officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery (Ibex mtn section), Lyons Fork section Pallbearers: Nathaniel Fleming, Greg Fleming, Nick Dotson, Jacob Mullins, Chris Hodges, and Danny McNew
